Lisa has been an instructor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) since the Engineering Graphics Department merged with ISE in August l987. She teaches Graphic Communication and Engineering Graphics along with AutoCAD Release 2004 & 2005. In the past she has taught Technology and Architecture Graphics classes until her teaching load was filled with all Graphic Communication and Engineering Graphics classes. She approves the graphics class schedule for fall and spring semester and orders the books for the graphics classes through Barnes and Nobles.

She has attended national conferences such as Women Engineering Program and Advocate Network (WEPAN) and Society of Women Engineers (SWE). At the WEPAN Conference 2000, she wrote and presented the paper “Women in Action Summer Program,” with Teresa Sappinton in Washington, D.C. In November 1999 she hosted and facilitated the American Society of Engineering Education Graphics division midyear meeting in Biloxi, Mississippi.

In Summer 2000 she was the assistant to the Outreach Coordinator in the Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University. The programs she assisted with include the University Familiarization Program for Minorities in Engineering (UFPME), summer Engineering Experience for K-6 graders, Quest 2000 for rising 11th graders, and Introduction to Engineering program for math and science school teachers.
