Sandra EksiogluSandra Eksioglu, Assistant Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering, received a Visiting Industrial Scholar Award from the Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU). The award is designed to facilitate visits by senior industrial scientists to ORAU member institutions. The primary goal of the awards program is to foster interactions between faculty and students at member institutions and industrial scientists.

Dr. Eksioglu will use the award to bring Dr. Shahab Sokhansanj to MSU. Dr. Sokhansanj is a Professor at the University of British Columbia, Canada and a Distinguished Researcher at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He is an expert in the area of biomass feedstock supply and logistics analysis.
