Ergonomics and Human Factors are multi-disciplinary studies of human capabilities and performance capacities.

Ergonomists apply knowledge from the fields of engineering, medicine, psychology, and management in order to optimize the fit between people and their consumer products, tools, equipment, environments, and work tasks.

The goal of ergonomics is to fit engineering designs to the people that they affect so those people can live and work pain free.
