Plant Tours Information
Product technology from Weavexx, a business unit of Xerium Technologies, Inc.,
sets the standard in the paper machine clothing industry. Weavexx provides
custom-engineered solutions to maximize production, productivity and sheet
quality through cutting-edge technology and diagnostic services. Weavexx
specializes in developing, manufacturing and supplying innovative paper machine
clothing products, including forming fabrics, press felts, and dryer fabrics,
for all grades of paper and all types of machines.
The Starkville plant employs around 250 workers. The plant tour will display
many atypical manufacturing processes such as the needling, stitching, and
weaving of large textile rolls.

Baldor’s mission is to be the best marketers, designers and manufacturers of
industrial electric motors, power transmission products, drives and generators.
Less that a year old, the Columbus plant manufactures AC motors that range in
size from 15 horsepower to 400 horsepower. The tour will display many metal
forming, machining, and assembly processes. The plant employs over 300 workers.
